BIG BROTHERS BIG SISTERS OF MASSACHUSETTS BAY “BIG NIGHT”

CHALLENGE: Create an experience at the annual Big Night event to launch the new brand of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Massachusetts Bay embracing the new logo, color palette, and tag line. Take this new brand and make it come alive. Also, celebrate the 20th anniversary by positioning the organization as ready to advance into the future. 

SOLUTION:  “A Big Night of Super Heroes” overall theme was developed by playing off the tag line of “Defenders of Potential” and celebrating the organization’s largest donors as heroes. 

The look of the night focused on “Big City” (aka Gotham City) showcasing a modern city-based organization doing good for the community. Décor elements echoed the logo shape and color, as lighting effects ensured that guests felt like they had stepped into the new brand. The design incorporated a modern edge to reflect the new direction of the organization. 

To further the innovative feel, a custom laser show and sound montage kicked off the speaking program, replacing the traditional brand video. Going dark in the room, the color and visuals of the logo came to life overhead, while powerful statements and quotes from “superheroes” of the organization were heard throughout the space. This unique custom piece further emphasizes the new brand and direction of the organization.
